The storm knocked over a massive tree last night, barely missing a unit nearby at the World of Tennis complex.
Nothing but blue sky today for many in Central Texas -- and just west of Austin in Lakeway -- neighbors spent the day outside cleaning up after Saturday night's storm.
Hail damaged some Lake Travis school buses by knocking out mirrors, turn signals and lights. The buses are now too dangerous to transport students to and from school Monday.
Surrounding districts, including Hays County, Round Rock, Leander, Austin, Pflugerville and Dripping Springs school districts donated school buses to the Lake Travis School District.
Residences nearby also suffered serious damage from the storm.
One home in Western Travis County has broken windows in the study, in a guest bedroom, and in the master bedroom. The hail damaged their roof, and attacked their wood stairs.
Rain also got inside and damaged their computers and electronics.
Jake Brydon, the owner of Heritage Construction, estimates the damage to be around $30,000.
He says he has received hundreds of calls from people asking for repairs after the storm.
"We've just been getting a lot of people come out in their front yard and just approach our vehicles as we're helping other clients," Brydon said.
He said most of the damage they've seen is in the Bee Cave and Lakeway area.
The company relocated some of their representatives to the area for the day to help with the influx of calls from wind and hail damage.
"The ones that I saw were like an inch, like little peas," Brydon said.
Not far away, the wind toppled a massive tree at the World of Tennis apartment complex, just barely missing an apartment unit.
A neighbor at the complex said another tree landed on his patio.
Everyone said they are just glad no one was hurt. One of the people volunteering to help with the clean-up lives nearby. He said he was thankful the storm didn't hit his home.
More than 11,000 Austin Energy customers lost power in the storm. Crews worked over night and into Sunday and said everyone's power is now back up and running.
