Travis High School boys basketball coach Craig Brownson said Tuesday afternoon that no decision has been made on the playing status of guards Anthony Odunsi and Aaron and Andrew Harrison.

Brownson said it was unlikely a decision would be made before Wednesday.

The three players were suspended for the Tigers' bi-district game against Clear Lake on Monday after being involved in a fight last Tuesday in their final regular season game against Fort Bend Austin.

Odunsi and the Harrisons threw punches at each other during the game before the altercation was broken up by coaches. No Fort Bend Austin players were involved in the fight.

Travis defeated Clear Lake 66-62 on Monday night despite playing without their top three scorers. Odunsi, who attended Travis' game Monday, said he hoped to return for the Tigers area playoff game later this week when they take on the winner of Tuesday's Port Arthur Memorial vs. Dobie game.

"It was hard to sit in the stands and watch," he said. "I made a big mistake and I hope I get the chance to play again. I hope we can get this resolved soon and move forward."

According to University Interscholastic League Interim Athletic Director Mark Cousins, the UIL does not have a set punishment for fighting. It is up to each district to determine how to discipline its players.

Brownson said all parties have yet to sit down and meet. The players involved in the fight, their parents, the coaches and a district athletic department official will meet to determine the next steps.

The Tigers were led Monday by guard Reggie Davis, who scored 20 points.

He said the team was adjusting to the absence of their teammates.

"We are just trying to move forward and ignore everything that is going on and just try to play the game," Davis said.

Brownson said he was proud of the way his team has responded since the incident.

"This was a huge win for us," Brownson said after Monday's win. "Right now our team is the one that was on the floor tonight. And they are going to work to get ready for our next game."
