Lake Travis defeats SA Edison: Lake Travis coasted to a Class 4A, Region IV finals spot, sweeping Edison at Taylor Field House in San Antonio on Friday.
The Cavaliers were led by an all-around performance from Amy Neal, who tallied six aces, 11 digs and 12 kills.
Sierra Patrick recorded 13 kills, Katy Beals added 24 assists and Mackenzie Mayo finished with 17 digs. All three marks were game highs.
Lake Travis will take on West in the regional final today at noon.
Westlake defeats Sachse: At Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Westlake dropped the first set but rallied to win three straight sets and advance.
Westlake overcame a 12-8 deficit in the third to take the set 25-21. The Chaps followed that run with a 8-1 start to the fourth, going on to win 25-12.
The Chaps will take on The Woodlands today at 11 a.m. in the Region II final.
Wimberley defeats Sinton: Wimberley knocked out Sinton in the Class 3A, Region IV semifinals.
Wimberley's Shauna Miller tallied 34 assists, Brenna Lyles added 25 digs and Laura Blab recorded 17 kills.
The Texans will take on Needville in the regional final today at Blossom Athletic Center in San Antonio, at 1:30 p.m.
Needville defeats Fredericksburg: Fredericksburg's playoff run came to an end in the Class 3A, Region IV semifinals.
Julie Stack led Needville, tallying 36 assists and 16 digs. Fredericksburg was led by the duo of Blair Kott (22 assists) and Shannon Bonn (23 digs).
Needville will play Wimberley in the finals today at San Antonio.
La Grange defeats Gatesville: La Grange sealed its place in the Class 3A, Region III final with a sweep of Gatesville at Bryan High School.
Gatesville kept the first two sets close, losing 25-21 and 25-22, but the Panthers impressed in the final set, winning comfortably at 25-13.
La Grange will play Columbus in the regional final.
Rogers defeats Marion: Cayleigh Drake posted 21 kills to help Rogers reach the Class 2A, Region IV final in San Antonio.
Kelsey Hudson added 23 assists for the Eagles (35-6) while Lauren Bedick had 17 digs.
Rogers will face Poth (41-6) for a berth in the 2A state tournament. Poth swept Schulenburg 25-15, 25-11, 25-8 in the other regional semifinal.
